Matt Need Forever

It’s on – Matt Need Forever – a comedy & music show that the good folks at Moe’s BBQ (3295 South Broadway) have been foolish enough to book again. Moe’s is what used to be the Falcon… now it’s awesome barbecue. So at the very least, you can eat well.

This time around, you can look forward to me, Chuck Roy, Hippie Man, Lori Callahan, Stephanie McHugh, Eugene Kenny presenting some of this nation’s finest witty banter, followed by my band, VaGiant (The Tightest Band In The World) featuring (along with me) Hazel Miller, Katie LaRue, Andy Bercaw (bass), Doug Seamen (guitar), Chris Aaron (guitar), Matt Stutz (guitar, trombone), Mike Rice (drums), Chris Helvey (drums) – and potentially Xiren, Erica Brown, Damon (Savage Henry), and my good friend Lance from Lincoln’s Roadhouse (if he brings his feather boa) with the Comic Harmonic Choir singing backup… this time, it’s country music (wear your Sunday teeth)!

I’ve given out a cubic shitload of tickets – but fear not if you didn’t receive one – it’s a free show (and worth every penny) – so lock the kids in the closet, dose granny and hide her walker, and come on down to Moe’s for a mildly chaotic completely entertaining evening, bladder control optional. Formal attire not required (‘cept for the teeth).

By the way, Sunday’s show is also benefit for Sharon Rawles, a good friend of the Denver entertainment community who helped a lot of folks make it happen (including me). Sharon passed away a few weeks ago after a short and brutal battle with cancer and we’ll be collecting money to donate to one of Sharon’s favorite causes, the Denver Dumb Friends League, so if you can spare a couple of shekels, I would appreciate it. She was a hard working, sweet person, an integral part of so much of Denver’s local music scene for a long time, and she will be missed. We will laugh and sing in her memory.
