Shake Johnson

Named for an obscure and slightly twisted uncle of the late Robert Johnson, and comprised of five diversely rooted musicians with spotted histories and suspect intentions, Shake Johnson has played everywhere from one place to the next, and several places in between. Ah the tales we could tell, The Coronas we could sip, the yarns we could spin… Dusty trails in Old Mexico. Back alleys in Chi-town. The deep woods and hollers of Alabama. The mean streets of Parker… Work boots stomping on a wooden porch. Greasy fingers on barbed wire strings. Chapped lips on old harmonicas. All-nighters in backwoods juke joints. Its a rough life, but someone’s gotta do it. Never content to live off the many legends surrounding them, Shake Johnson steadfastly continues to make up new ones.
