Solterra
Solterra
Solterra began in the summer of 2011 in Lakewood, Colorado when Drummer Ryan Bannigan and Guitarist Tanner Lichty began writing and creating instrumental jams that ranged from heavy prog-metal to groovy and atmospheric songs. While the duo missed a much needed backbone of rhythm guitar and bass in their jams, they continued to create music, most notably four songs that would eventually end up on Solterra's first album, Soul, Earth, Sun. After deciding to record their first batch of songs, they headed to the Nut House Studio in Fort Collins in July 2011.

Chris Dreiling, the then owner and engineer of The Nuthouse Studio, tracked the first Solterra EP in one day and the EP was immediately released...to about 20 people. Chris Dreiling joined the band and took up bass duties a month later, filling out the live sound of Solterra and adding a sense of direction to the group. The trio then began the writing process for their first album for the next few months, creating a diverse collection of music that totaled at 13 songs. The original conceptual idea behind the album Soul, Earth, Sun was spawned from the idea that the batch of songs the band had at the time could be split into a trinity of emotions. There was a soulful, cohesive feel to some songs, a natural folky feel to others and more intense side that showed in the metal tracks such as Sold to Wolves and Affluenza. The thirteen tracks are grouped into three parts on the Record. The recording process for the debut album began in October 2011 and was released for free on February 28th 2012 on bandcamp.com.

After the release of the album the trio began playing house shows and small venues in Fort Collins, Colorado. Ryan Sims was added as the newest member of the group in March 2012 as a rhythm guitarist. Sims brought an even fuller sound to the band and began delivering much need second guitar parts to the bands live sound. The Quartet is now working on several new songs with a fresh and more focused sound, the group hopes to release the set of new material in an EP by the end of 2012.
Anchorage
Anchorage
Anchorage is a band that is always evolving and growing. Since the formation of the band in 2008 Anchorage has always prided themselves on pushing musical limits and combining different styles of music. The band released their first full length album "I Have Seen Further" in 2010, showcasing technicality and a tasteful mix electronic elements in order to create an ambient and still intensely heavy sound. During the summer of 2010 the band endured a major line-up change which put the future of the band into question. With extreme dedication Anchorage decided to continue on despite only having three members, while continuing to play local shows in with numerous fill-in musicians on guitar and bass. In January of 2011 Anchorage returned to the stage opening for Haste the Day's farewell show in Denver. It was the first of many shows Anchorage would play in support of national acts including Protest the Hero, MYCHILDREN MYBRIDE, Scale the Summit, and Stray From the Path.
