Me Like Bees is an indie/alternative rock band from Kansas City Missouri and is made up of Pete Burton (lead guitar), Asher Poindexter (bass), Luke Sheafer (vocals/guitar), and Tim Cote (Drums). Formed in May of 2009, the group has developed their sound with influences from bands such as Modest Mouse, Arcade Fire and The White Stripes.
The "Me Like Bees" sound, like many of their influences, is based upon the idea of moving music forward with interesting and simple melodies. Although simple, the band maintains the listeners' attention using irregular dynamics and asymmetric song structure. The group takes a quality control approach to songwriting, with each member bringing their own creative ideals to every aspect of the process.
The lyrics of Me Like Bees music are both thought provoking and entertaining, with a wide range of themes. Many of their songs discuss matters of inner turmoil, and relate to issues like guilt and doubt. Sheafer is known for his creative wording and unique use of syllables; often times giving a positive spin on what would otherwise be depressing subject matter. His singing style has been said to be a cross between Isaac Brock of Modest Mouse and Jack White of the White Stripes.

Viretta

What started in late 2009 has become a tremendous musical outlet for the four young musicians of Viretta, who strive to share their music with the world. Made up of twin brothers Mike and Rob Moroni on lead/rythm guitar and vocals, Emily Beach on bass, and Mike Bokenkamp on drums, Viretta is just beginning to earn a name for themselves in Denver's music scene. April 2011 saw the release of Viretta's self produced and recorded debut album "Bit Your Lips," a 10 track monster which set the standard for the crunchy riffs, electric solos, massive drums, dreamy loops, and booming bass that is slowly beginning to define Viretta's eclectic sound. Drawing from influences like Queens of the Stone Age, Nirvana, and Radiohead, Viretta's album continuously shifts gears, making sure no musical stone is left unturned, and the experience itself is kept fresh and alive with energy. Since the band's conception, their energetic and powerful live shows have garnered considerable attention for a band so young. With an upcoming EP, recorded/produced by Isaac Slade of the internationally recognized alternative rock band The Fray, Viretta plans on setting that bar even higher in 2012.
The only thing Viretta could ever ask from you is to come to a show and see for yourselves what the band is all about. As a band, Viretta feels that music connects people, and thats what they want to do with their music. Pick up Viretta's album on iTunes and see for yourself!

The Hits

The Hits met at a Chili's restaurant in April, 2011 after responding to a Craigslist ad to form an all female band and knew at that moment, they would make history! (it was definitely a blind date....amongst 4 women...3 survived). Eventually, they found their newest 4th member using Craigslist yet again. With Jayne's unique rhythmic strumming patterns, Molly's bluesy lead style, Terra's deep bass riffs, and Kristen's tasteful hard hitting drum beats, these have been able to combine their individual styles into a very unique rock sound. Currently, The Hits have played in smaller venues all across the Denver/Boulder area with consistent excellent feedback about their unique experimental rock sound and energetic performances. Their music is loud and unforgettable. The hard work and overall love of music has shaped The Hits into one of most memorable all female rock bands in this area. They continue to book shows weekly in the Denver/Boulder area and regardless of the venue put on an amazing experience.
Alternum Divide

A psychedelic rock n' roll band created when 3 Denver natives with strikingly similar views on music's past, present, and future, came together each with their own musical ability. For these 3 guys life could not get any stranger than the awareness granted when questions that weren't meant to be asked were, while witnessing the effect this process has on music, art, creativity, etc. In the spirit of this deviation Alternum Divide was made to be a dedication to all things strange, crooked, and uncomfortable to the status quo. A new paradigm for the ages.
