The A-OKs offer their new release, Funemployment Benefits, as a soundtrack to the end of the world. A follow up to 2010′s Words Are Not For Eating, Benefits brings more of The A-OKs’ signature horny, moshy, angry, dancey sound that the Colorado scene has shown a constant and increasing enthusiasm for the past four years. Recorded and produced at the locally acclaimend Noisegate Studios, the album returns the listener to the short-lived but oft-celebrated Ska/Punk fad of the 90s and mixes in a contemporary love for metal, reggae, jazz, gospel, calypso, and hardcore. Funemployment Benefits shows off The A-OKs’ tried and true method of delivering “happy music with angry content” that will not only have you dancing, but thinking as well.

The A-OKs, recent finalists for 93.3′s Big Gig competition, have been rocking the underground Denver music scene since 2008, and since have completed two west coast tours, and are recognized worldwide as a formidable talent. Their first single, “Re: Bellion,” is a favorite on KTCL’s locals only program, as well as many college and online radio stations. They are an essential listen for anyone who loves fun, feel good music.
